Veronica Ehrenreich-Risner, PhD


Biography:

Veronica Ehrenreich-Risner is a 2019 Silas Palmer Fellow at the Hoover Institute, Stanford University. She received her MA and PhD in African History at the University of California, Santa Barbara; taught African History at the University of California, Davis; and is a lecturer in the History Department at Sacramento State University. Fulbright-Hays Zulu GPA and Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA), Boren and UCSB Central and Department Fellowships funded her archival research on three continents (UK, US, South Africa). Her publications include: Bantu Authorities: Apartheid's System of Race and Ethnicity (Nominee ASA Best Book Award 2021), and journal articles in African Studies Review, American Archivist, and Journal of Southern African Studies.
